PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Hold a bachelor’s degree with an education focus from an accredited college or
  2. Two or more years of classroom teaching experience

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Reflect the purpose of the program to offer quality education.
  2. Cooperate with the administration in implementing all policies, procedures, and directives governing the operation of ELLi’s learning
  3. Teach classes as assigned following prescribed scope and sequence as scheduled by the director.
  4. Keep proper discipline in the classroom and within the ELLi premises for a good learning
  5. Maintain a clean, attractive, well-ordered classroom.
  6. Plan broadly using semester and quarterly plans and objectives, and more currently through the use of a lesson plan
  7. Utilise valid teaching techniques to achieve curriculum goals within the framework of the program’s philosophy.
  8. Care for the whole child, including reaching the students in each of the following dimensions: mental, physical, social, and
  9. Plan through approved channels the balanced classroom use of field trips, guest speakers, and other
  10. Use homework effectively for drill, review, enrichment or project
  11. Assess the learning of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required and use formative assessment for adjustments on a daily basis.
  12. Maintain regular and accurate attendance and grade records to meet the demands for a comprehensive knowledge of each student’s
  13. Keep students, parents, and director adequately informed of progress of deficiencies and give sufficient notice of
  14. Recognise the need for good public relations. Represent the program in a favourable and professional manner to the program’s constituency and the general
  15. Develop and maintain positive rapport with students, parents and staff by treating others with friendliness, dignity, and consideration.
  16. Seek the counsel of the director, colleagues, and parents while maintaining a teachable
  17. Attend and participate in scheduled devotions, in-service, retreats, committee, faculty, and Parent-Teacher meetings.
  18. Know the procedures for dealing with emergencies.

The Head of School of CA is the chief executive officer of CA. Authority Structure

The Head of School is responsible to provide overall direction and oversight of Caspian Academy operations. In doing so he/she should be completely familiar with and apply any reasonable interpretation to

1. the purpose and vision of CA, which, in partnership with the home, is to provide a quality education which prepares them for higher education, primarily for the children of expatriate families in Azerbaijan.
2. the Head of School Limitations Policies, which describe organizational situations and actions to be avoided.

1. Academics – The Head of School is the chief academic officer and is responsible for the day to day operations of the school and to work together with the principals in

4. Staff – the Head of School is responsible to work together with supporting parents and staff in

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

         

·        Minimum of undergraduate degree in one of the following; Education, Business, Communications, Marketing, or related fields

·        TESOL or equivalency certificate, 3 years’ experience managing multifunctional teams, preferably in multiple locations and cultures

·        3 years with measurable success in an environment focused on service delivery, customer satisfaction and financial accountability

·        Demonstrable experience in Change Management

·        Experience with start-up businesses would be an asset

·        Significant experience making sales presentations

·        Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Ability to implement healthy team dynamics within a distance context. Ability to analyze a problem, plan for change and implement strategies
·        Mature Christian, sound judgement and professionalism

DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:

 

  • Develop a long-term strategic plan for Elli
  • Recruit, Hire, Train and Coach qualified Elli Franchisees
  • Lead weekly online Managing Partner meetings
  • Develop quarterly and yearly goals, plans and budgets
  • Recruit and supervise a group of Elli professionals to support franchisees
  • Collaborate to develop a growth strategy (short and long-term marketing strategy) for both current and future Elli locations in country
  • Liaise with the Elli | Advisory Council on a regular basis to gain insight and advice while ensuring ongoing alignment and success with the mission, vision and values
  • Travel in support of Elli franchises and Elli growth
  • Coordinate ongoing Elli franchisee training

 

PRIORITY DELIVERABLES

 

  • Legally register Elli | English Language Learning Institute as a Global business by September of 2018
  • Develop a financial package for potential equity partners of local franchisees that is legal, transparent and financially sound
  • Mentor, guide, and assist in the launch of the first three Elli locations
  • Launch six Elli locations by September of 2019
  • Finalize the “Business in a Box” materials for all Elli Franchisees by January of 2019
  • Develop the Global Franchise model after two years of operations – Likely by 2020

Gateway General Member Expectations

  1. Finances: establish and maintain a support team; regular prayer letters; regular home assignments.
  2. Personal and Professional Development: participate actively in a personal growth and life long learning plan; stay in touch with church/fellowship; regular counselling/ coaching; report regularly on ministry, personal life, and finances; participate in meetings and conferences mandatory for all missionaries (e.g. field ministry days, prayer days, training, etc.).

Gateway: Regional Informal Educational Services Coordinator

Supervises:  Informal Education Services staff in region

Relates to:   Director of Informal Education | Director of LinGo franchise

Status:         Full-time (as needed), non-exempt, paid from support raised toward salary.

Location: in region of service

 

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with some training theology
  • Proven administrative experience
  • Two years’ experience in education programs-
  • Leadership experience

Skills:

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, writing skills
  • Excellent initiative and the ability to set goals and follow through
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

 

Personal:

  • Mature Christian experience, sound judgment and professional skill
  • Life philosophy that aligns with TeachBeyond policies, objectives, and doctrine
  • Passion for Christ and the Gospel; active participant in a local church community

Responsibilities and Duties

Initiate and grow Informal Education programs in region

  • Coordinate with TeachBeyond leaders in the region for suitable informal education programs
  • Develop programs according to strategic plan
  • Develop partnerships with like-minded partners as needed
  • Find funding and facilities for programs
  • Establish sustainable business plan for each program
  • Acquire suitable educators who understand “transformational education” and adhere to TeachBeyond’s vision and mission
  • Advise leaders who can start, manage, and grow programs of informal education (e.g. EFL camps, Language schools, retreats, seminars)
  • Provide training for local staff to ensure projects are sustainable and replicable.
  • Assess educators and programs as needed
  • Follow TeachBeyond protocols and policy
  • Serve at a TeachBeyond/Gateway project bi-annually

 

Total work time given to these duties: 100%
