Gateway: Elli Director for Franchised Centers

POSITION SUMMARY:      To ensure the global growth and development of
Elli | English Language Learning Institute, measured by:
1. Elli educators and learners growing closer to the likeness of Christ

  1. Global consistency and recognition of the Elli Name/Brand/Logo and Quality
  2. Profits that keep the local business, sustainable, generous, and enjoyable
  3. Excellent measurable outcomes for English proficiency and client experience.

MONTHLY STIPTEND:      Blended support phased to full salary as available

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

          Reports to:            –  Gateway Education Global Director

 

         Supervision given: –  Elli mobilizers, field trainers, and curriculum supervisors
–  Elli franchise Owners, Co-Owners, and Managing Partners

         Relates to:             –  Director of Informal Education Gateway service providers

 

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

         

·        Minimum of undergraduate degree in one of the following; Education, Business, Communications, Marketing, or related fields

·        TESOL or equivalency certificate, 3 years’ experience managing multifunctional teams, preferably in multiple locations and cultures

·        3 years with measurable success in an environment focused on service delivery, customer satisfaction and financial accountability

·        Demonstrable experience in Change Management

·        Experience with start-up businesses would be an asset

·        Significant experience making sales presentations

·        Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Ability to implement healthy team dynamics within a distance context. Ability to analyze a problem, plan for change and implement strategies
·        Mature Christian, sound judgement and professionalism

·        Philosophy of life and lifestyle that aligns with the policies, objectives and doctrinal position of Gateway

DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:

 

  • Develop a long-term strategic plan for Elli
  • Recruit, Hire, Train and Coach qualified Elli Franchisees
  • Lead weekly online Managing Partner meetings
  • Develop quarterly and yearly goals, plans and budgets
  • Recruit and supervise a group of Elli professionals to support franchisees
  • Collaborate to develop a growth strategy (short and long-term marketing strategy) for both current and future Elli locations in country
  • Liaise with the Elli | Advisory Council on a regular basis to gain insight and advice while ensuring ongoing alignment and success with the mission, vision and values
  • Travel in support of Elli franchises and Elli growth
  • Coordinate ongoing Elli franchisee training

 

PRIORITY DELIVERABLES

 

  • Legally register Elli | English Language Learning Institute as a Global business by September of 2018
  • Develop a financial package for potential equity partners of local franchisees that is legal, transparent and financially sound
  • Mentor, guide, and assist in the launch of the first three Elli locations
  • Launch six Elli locations by September of 2019
  • Finalize the “Business in a Box” materials for all Elli Franchisees by January of 2019
  • Develop the Global Franchise model after two years of operations – Likely by 2020

Duties and responsibilities performed within one’s capabilities that do not constitute a major change may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of the supervisor either orally or in writing.

 

Gateway General Member Expectations

  1. Finances: establish and maintain a support team; regular prayer letters; regular home assignments.
  2. Personal and Professional Development: participate actively in a personal growth and life long learning plan; stay in touch with church/fellowship; regular counselling/ coaching; report regularly on ministry, personal life, and finances; participate in meetings and conferences mandatory for all missionaries (e.g. field ministry days, prayer days, training, etc.).
