POSITION SUMMARY: To be a lead teacher for a class of preschool students
MONTHLY STIPTEND: 4,000 RM per month, a visa, and housing
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to: Director of JoyKids International Preschool
Supervision given: Assistant Teachers

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor of Education
• Proven experience leading individuals and teams
• Proven experience teaching in a preschool settting
• Experience working with children (preferably preschool)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:

 

  • Leading the other teachers and teacher assistants in the practices and techniques of Preschool Education.
  • Organizing the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment.
  • Planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range with the class.
  • Motivating students with an enthusiastic and imaginative teaching style.
  • Maintaining classroom discipline
  • Ensuring school policies for classroom management, student discipline, and the Teacher Code of Conduct is being used at all times
  • Meeting the requirements for the assessment and documentation of a student’s development
  • Organizing and taking part in school events, outings and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evenings
  • Working with colleagues within the school to share best practices and other resources.
  • Working with parents to maximize involvement in the school and the development of parents child
  • Working with parents, in conjunction with the administrator, on any parent concerns or complaints
